I have my degree in Management Systems and spend my days feeding
nourishing code to the Citrix servers and keeping the developers on
task.... as in, projects that actually affect operational efficiency
rather than just paint pretty dashboards on the execs screens. My
primary area of responsibility is business intelligence
(MicroStrategy) predominantly involving competitive and strategic
pricing and margin analysis in our primary industry (material handling
equipment.)
With one foot in MIS and the other in sales management, and I'm the go-
to guy when some big muckity-muck asks, "Yeah, that bid proposal
sounds good, but are we making any money?"
As for social awareness, I came of age during Watergate, and was a
Young Dem campaigning door-to-door for Carter in '76. I've since come
full-circle thru the Reagan Revolution and the Contract With America,
and I can recite every frickin' broken promise those lying SOB's made.
That Newt is still on the scene and treated as a respectable political
commentator makes me sick, but not as sick as seeing Oliver North get
treated like a national hero by Faux. I'm now a straight-ticket
Democrat, and Hell would freeze over before I'd ever again vote for
another lying sack-of-shit Republican.
My 'social awareness' is really nothing more than a good memory.

Don't care what any dingbat says, Carter is a great man, was
a great president and exemplifies what leadership should be.
Pissed he did not legal drugs, expected that!!!
Our guy of the hour was Trudeau. A statesman and Prime
Minister extrodinaire.
Even now, i hear Carter speak and i always listen. He did
make mention of the Apartheid Policy of Israel, something
many jews share. . . . but are always shouted down as
appeasers of self hating jews.
My view? We tried it your way, it isn't working. Lets change
and see how that goes.
