So you think George, Condi and Putin are behind the National Hurricane Center saying there's a threat of a big Hurricane hitting the Gulf in the next few days? Or that's not the main reason for oil and NG going up? Nope, they're just behind aggression in Georgia and threats to retaliate with missiles in Poland and NATO memberships for former Warsaw Pact countries. I think that's enough to drive oil and gold up. Sorry if I made it sound like one situation (the hurricane) was responsible for the other (NATO memberships, missiles, etc.) or vice versa or whatever.
