There is no doubt that BSC's collapse was due to a bank-like run on the
firm. Was it caused by false rumor info spreading? Probably.

Of course lousy management and a focus on sales rather while ignoring quality
assurance had nothing to do with Bear's collapse.

Many many companies got caught up in the subprime mess and for sure
many of them have to share the consequences. The question remains as
to whether they could have learned from their mistakes and turned it
around had the "run" not happened. It is not hard for rumor mongers
to take down any weakened company. Do you think it is fair to take
down a weakened company by spreading false rumors? I am sure that you
don't. Perhaps we will find out what really happened and perhaps we
won't.

Democrats will do whatever is necessary to make the Republicans and Bush
look bad. Including bringing down the economy, wishing for more deaths in
Iraq and making minorities feel like powerless victims.

Look at what Schumer did to IMB, a perfectly good bank. I want to emphasize
the word bank. They were closing their mortgage lending and were only
handling checking accounts and CD's. Pretty harmless stuff unless some
asshole causes a run on the bank. Thanks to that asshole, some folks will
only get 50% of any of their deposits over $100K. I am sure charities, and
widows and orphans kept money in that bank. I hope the SEC investigates
him and puts him in jail. Democrats are insanely sick.

Of course, a Republican congress would do no such thing to a Democratic
president, like, e.g., spending $50MM on Whitewater and coming up with zilch.
And, of course, Ken Starr and his staff worked for free in donated office space.
Yeah. Right.

And look at all Starr and his witchhunters accomplished for our republic!

But the reality is Democrats do not have to do anything to make Bush look bad.
The administration does enough to make itself look bad. If Democrats worked
like the Republicans did when they were in power, Dick Cheney would be behind
bars right now.

Apparently, the FBI disagrees with you as what constitutes "a perfectly good
bank." But who the hell is the FBI compared to an internet genius like Uncle V?
