Average bulge bracket first-year derivatives trading desk analyst's salary? DarkProtoman 08-14-2007

What's the average for a first year derivatives trading desk analyst
at a bulge bracket firm like Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, or Union
Bank of Switzerland? $80,000/year?

Let's say I have an AS in Economics from Cypress, an SB in Economics
w/ a minor in mathematics from MIT, and a PhD in Business Economics
from Harvard Business School w/ a PhD minor in mathematics taken at
MIT --you can cross-enroll-- and doing my dissertation on some aspect
of the derivatives markets. How would I look to them?

Would my next steps be getting my Series 7 --and/or Series 42--,
Series 55, Series 24, Series 4, and Series 27 exams? Should I then try
for my Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Market Analyst, or
Chartered Market Technician designation--s--?

Thanks!!!!

Yeah...

My first task is to pass the math section of the California High
School Proficency Exam. Last time, I got a 344 and I needed a 350. I
just need to get 9 more questions correct. At lest now I'll have to
whole 3hrs. to devote to it, instead of a mere 30mins.

Still, could you please answer my questions?
