Just wanted to share this gem I came across.
Anyone who needs historical data for different assets classes for back
testing, charting and research understands what a load of work it is.
Well I just tried these guys out and well I'm impressed.=A0 Here is
their free trial...

Global equities, futures, forex etc.=A0 The data is held locally on your
machine in both MetaStock and ASCII and can be used by whatever
charting and analysis package you use.=A0 They also provide free
charting application with the data if you want to use it.=A0 Currently
I'm using Amibroker which they fully support with a plug-in provided
which sets up the databases, categorizes symbols and assigns them to
sectors, industries and indexes.=A0 Best of all equities data goes back
to 1950 including delisted securities, split and non split adjusted
data, as well as corporate actions to eliminate survivorship bias in
research.
