Check this site out. They have articles, quotes, charts, news and the
largest book collection for traders that I've been able to find
ANYWHERE

Enjoy!

Decent concept. I'm not impressed with any part of the collection, yet --
including the books, which are DEFINITELY NOT the largest traders'
collection anywhere (BE HONEST with your promotion). This site needs to be
extensively compartmentalized NOW, while it is still small and while this
project will still be easy -- this will greatly facilitate navigation by
various "seekers" for your various products.

Depending upon the simple Search feature is NOT ADEQUATE -- I am not usually
actually exactly sure what I'm looking for UNTIL I SEE IT (this RULES OUT
specific keyword searching), but I DO KNOW WHERE I want to find it. Most
other "consumers" are in this same boat.

If you do not facilitate navigation, your site will die. Check out the
structure of Traders Press, for example:

Thanks for the feedback Mike. I'm not sure what you mean though? Did
you notice the navigation box on the left side once you're in the
store? The books are categorized by topic into Trading, Futures,
Forex, Research, Risk Management, Accounting, Investing and Related
topics. Each of those categories has several layers of
subcategories. Trade to win has a search by category option that
comes close but its burried and hard to find.

You are right, Amazon does have a larger collection but its very hard
to navigate. I think FS has most of the trading books Amazon does but
they made it a lot easier to drill down to the subject area you're
looking for.

Not that Amazon's or Traders Press' nav links are that much better than FS,
I guess. But, either a nav pane going down the left side of the FRONT PAGE
( not the "Store" page) with Cat breakdowns and sub-Cat flyout on mouseover,
or maybe the same type of mouseover flydowns/flyouts on the "tabs" at the
top of the FRONT PAGE.

Also, right now, 243 books in the Futures>General area alone are a lot to go
through in either one screen or over several pages -- maybe these can be
further broken down into more specific sub-Cats in addition to the ones you
already have under "Futures"? This could initially be a little
time-consuming, but well worth the effort before your book offerings really
begin to grow. You could gain the advantage, here, as I notice that neither
Amazon nor Traders Press does this very well, if at all.

I didn't check for this, but you might also consider "cross-listing" books
in more than one sub-Cat, if more than one sub-Cat might apply -- those who
like to browse sub-Cats will more likely find certain books, if they are
properly categorized. I WILL say that the "Search" feature you have on ALL
of your pages is REAL STRONG, on par with Amazon's, if you know exactly what
you're looking for.

What I dumbly forgot to say in my first post is that this IS a pretty darn
fair collection of books, anyway -- and the prices look VERY competitive,
beating both Traders Press and Amazon in some of the instances I checked and
matching them in some others. I had already bookmarked this site the FIRST
TIME through for future reference.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Thanks Mike,
I appreciate your feedback. I'd also like to point out that we did
subcategorize the Futures>General area (and it was a lot of
work :-)). If you click on the word General you'll see 7 more sub-
categories with anywhere from 7 to 80 books in them.

As far as bringing the Search Box to the home page is concerned, I
think you have a good point. While making any changes to a home page
is something we'd only do after serious consideration, we'll keep your
comments in mind the next time we discuss making any changes.

Keep coming back Mike. We have a lot of things planned and I look
forward to hearing your reaction to them.

Talk to you again some time!
Steve
