3:54 PM - A negative start, but a flattish close, that's how the day
was for the market today! Mixed cues from the Asian markets kept the
market in the negative terrain, but a fairly good trade in European
markets revived the market back home, to an extent. Sensex closed at
17,243, up 12 points from the previous close. Nifty shut shop at 5117,
also up 12 points. CNX Midcap index ended up 0.8% and BSE smallcap
index, up 1.5%. Oil & gas and metal stocks were the favourites, while
banking stocks were dumped. Top Sensex gainers include Tata Steel,
Mahindra & Mahindra and RIL, while losers are HDFC, HDFC Bank and HUL,
among others.
3:49 PM - There's another Rs 15-20 upside from the current levels in
McLeod Russel, says Rahul Mohindar, technical analyst, on CNBC-TV18.
3:45 PM - Videocon Industries can go up to Rs 450, where one should
look to book profits, says Sachin Chauhan, technical analyst, on NDTV
Profit. It is a good momentum stock and not so good for the long term,
he adds. It is at Rs 410.50 on the BSE.

3:39 PM - One can look at buying Gujarat NRE Coke on dips or even at
current levels, says Rahul Mohindar, technical analyst, on CNBC-TV18.
The stock can move up by another Rs 40-50 in the next 6-8 months, he
says. It is at Rs 160.10, up over 7% on the BSE.
3:33 PM - The market opened in the negative terrain and traded there
for most of the day, but managed to close in the green. Sensex ended
at 17,241, up 11 points (provisional) from the previous close. Nifty
shut shop at 5118, up 13 points (provisional).
3:28 PM - Reliance Industries has a target of Rs 2,750-2,780 now, says
Rahul Mohindar, technical analyst, on CNBC-TV18. The stock is
currently trading at Rs 2,670, up 2.6% on the BSE.

3:21 PM - Hold Nifty long positions for the target of 5173, with a
stoploss of 5070, says Anil Maghnani, technical analyst, as a closing
market strategy, on CNBC-TV18. Buy Lanco Infra for a target of Rs
607/645, he adds.
3:17 PM - ICICI Bank will face resistance at Rs 1,000, but above this,
it would target Rs 1,155, says Daryl Guppy, Director of
Guppytraders.com, on CNBC-TV18. The stock is currently trading at Rs
911, down 1.8% on the BSE.
3:10 PM - One can buy IT stocks in a staggered way with 4-6 months
view, says Manas Jaiswal of Emkay, on CNBC Awaaz. In the midcap IT
space, once Polaris moves above Rs 115-116, it can go up to Rs 130 or
so, he adds. The stock is currently trading at Rs 108.25, up 0.14% on
the BSE.
3:03 PM - The market is trading in the positive terrain now, thanks to
good cues from European markets. Sensex is at 17,266, up 36 points
from the previous close. Nifty is at 5126, up 21 points. CNX Midcap
index is up 0.7% and BSE Smallcap index, up 1.6%. Buying is seen in
almost all sectors, but banking stocks are still facing selling
pressure.

2:57 PM - If Bartronics can close above Rs 245 today, then it can go
up to Rs 294, says Manas Jaiswal of Emkay, on CNBC Awaaz. Above that,
it has a target price of Rs 335, he adds. The stock is currently
trading at Rs 247.45, up 4.2% on the BSE.
2:50 PM - If Hindustan Oil Exploration Company closes above Rs 155-156
today, then it is possible that it touches its earlier highs in the
coming days, says Manas Jaiswal of Emkay, on CNBC Awaaz. The stock is
currently trading at Rs 154.35, up 6.9% on the BSE.
2:42 PM - Angel Broking has a 'buy' rating on HT Media, with a target
price of Rs 193, reports CNBC-TV18. The stock is currently trading at
Rs 142.50, up 0.6% on the BSE.

2:33 PM - Sensex has support at 16,800, but can fall slightly below
that too, says Daryl Guppy, Director of Guppytraders.com, on CNBC-
TV18. On the upside, it will face resistance at 18,325, he adds. And
Nifty has support at 4950 and will face resistance at 5300, he says.
Once 5300 is crossed, it can target 5700, he adds.
2:26 PM - India and China are in a 'serious' bear market, says Shankar
Sharma of First Global, on NDTV Profit. The downside risk remains, as
the bear market is driven by negative news, he says. High crude price
is the biggest problem for India and the Indian bull market will
return if crude falls to $75 per barrel and stays close to that, he
adds.
2:16 PM - HDFC Securities maintains a 'buy' rating on Zuari Industries
with a price target of Rs 520, reports CNBC-TV18. The stock is
currently trading at Rs 257, up 1.4% on the BSE.

2:16 PM - One can buy Jay Shree Tea at current levels, for a medium
term target of Rs 180-210, says Rajat Bose, technical analyst, on CNBC-
TV18. The stock has support at Rs 138-133, so keep a stoploss below Rs
133, he says. He is bullish on the entire tea sector. The stock is
currently trading at Rs 158.50, up 13.8% on the BSE.
2:09 PM - Educomp Solutions is a good stock and only a bad market can
bring it down, says Rajesh Jain of SMC Global, on NDTV Profit. The
stock has support at Rs 3,800-3,900 and will face some resistance at
Rs 4,500-4,600, he adds. It is currently trading at Rs 4,044, up 0.3%
on the BSE.
