If your method or System is so great why don't you just trade it by
yourself and make money?
Every teacher in the world of trading has been asked this question and
all have had good answers that dance around the crux ~ the
perspective of the person asking the question.
What they are saying is that if they had a successful system they would
not share any of the gifts they were given. The questioner is a
material person who only thinks in terms of dollars. This attitude is
exactly why they can not figure out or understand they system and why
they didn't figure it out for themselves even though it's been in
front of there face every day.
Do you think this self centered perspective could lead to any happiness
or true wealth?
They think one dimensionally and assimilating multi-dimensional
information may be impossible for them. And, have little hope of being
successful at trading. Also, they are probably indirectly implying
that they have lost there butt.
If this is you, please do me a favor. Cancel all your market timing
services, close your trading account and take your wife / husband / ect
on a vacation and make love for a week. Get out of trading all
together and find a good interest bearing investment that is safe. Go
about your business for a few years, study a little bit and then look
at trading again.
Why Teach Others? People teach others when they love something and
want to make it more a part of there lives, They do it to learn
themselves by people asking them questions. I can't tell you how
many times someone has asked a question or if this or that could be
done and it got my mind working on the problem and a month or so later
I had an equation.
There are a million other reasons but this is the one that matters to a
winner like myself. Learning and connecting with likeminded
individuals is the main motivation. It is what I like to do.
Do what you like, that is the way to be successful. And, heck lets
face it you can pull of a couple hundred grand in a weekend if you are
good at your craft it AND BE WORTH EVERY PENNY OF IT. I'm shooting
for the =BD million weekend.
It's an odd thing that you can actually make more money with less
stress by being a very good forecaster. You are leveraging other
people's money and other people's time and skill. It is the
perfect self made upper management position. And, since you're
doing the work anyway and enjoy trading and the analysis work, why not?
Also, I think it makes one a better trader because it takes the edge
off of needing to make so much and you can be very patient and
methodical , passing up week trades.
