Best stock market quotes
There are two places on the Internet that are really good for
stock market quotations these are yahoo.com and quote.com.
Yahoo has a very extensive range of financial information all
at the click of a mouse, features include good charting and
financial ratios, in fact you can find out just about any
financial information on an American company using their site.
A useful tool Is the directors and management buying and selling,
these figures show whether the insiders have faith in the company
by buying its stock or are selling stock in bucket loads where
the price is high.
Of course the directors I just like every other investors and make
mistakes but they do have insider knowledge on the company's state
of affairs. They also know About its valuation and are selling
because the price is high.
Some major shareholders try to disguise their selling by selling
thousands of shares every day no matter what the price but this is
still selling and it means there trying to turn their paper assets
into cash as quickly as possible because they know the company will
only last so many years at the top of its industry, competition and
new technology are changing very quickly that will erode their
companies profitability.
Investors should be aware of insider selling especially when the
majority of insider shareholders are selling stock it's not a signal
for you to buy. Basically you want to be buying stock that generates
a lot no a ton of cash and I did was two things with it buys its own
stock back or gives it to shareholders in the form of a dividend.
Some companies are to be avoided like the plague These are companies
with heavy capital expenditure such as the airline industry, They will
find it very difficult to make money and are subject to huge costs and
historically don't make a lot of money so why invest in them unless
you
see them as a charity.
