According to this article:

"Buying an annuity inside a 401(k) is much cheaper --sometimes 50%
cheaper -- than buying one outside the plan because there are no commissions
to a financial planner or insurance agent."

What the heck are they talking about? Surely they can't mean that an
immediate in-plan annuity would produce the same payout with only half the
premium of a retail annuity? Do they?
