In a article in the WSJ on online banking listed three banks paying
higher interest rates. One was Southern Community Bank, Winstom-Salem,
It has a checking account paying 6.00% on deposits up to $25,000.
Conditions are 10 or more debit card purchases each month and one
direct deposit or automatic draft.I would be interested to know if a
member has had any dealing with this bank
